The Children’s Museum of Houston was filled with the sounds of violins at 3pm on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Dolce Strings performed in the Auditorium with a special appearance by the babies, toddlers and parents of Dolce Babies. We brought extra scarves and even invited the kids in the audience to join us for a dance! Thank you to all who participated. It was a wonderful afternoon!
Dolce Strings performed for a very receptive audience in the lobby at the Morris Cultural Arts Center at Houston Baptist University before the Houston Civic Symphony concert last Friday evening. Click HERE to see photos.
“Hello Danette and Dolce Strings,
On behalf of the Houston Civic Symphony, I would like to thank you again for performing in the HBU Theater lobby before the Friday (March 6, 2015) concert. What a wonderful introduction to the concert for the audience to have a preview of young talent playing in the lobby. Maybe one of these young people will be a concerto winner one day!
I loved the quick transitions from one piece to the next, and the wealth of the repertoire was very impressive. I personally loved how musical each piece was and how well in tune the students played. You have been a fabulous teacher, and the violinists have been fabulous students. It is heart-warming to hear these youth playing so well and to know that they were sharing their talents with the community.
Thank you once again!
“My child has been thoroughly enjoying class… Today at lunch she was bouncing in rhythm to the music playing! Such a joy to see her develop a love of music. We are grateful to have found Dolce Babies.” -KB
“I was blessed to be able to attend Baby Suzuki with Mrs. Danette with my older son for over a year. He learned so much in just one hour a week and he loved it. We would sing the songs throughout the week and he would always look forward to class. I loved that the music was sung in class and not played off a tape records. I loved that he got to experience real musical instruments. I loved how patient and loving his instructors were. Since then we have moved to Qatar. I have gone to countless music classes trying to find something that even kind of resembles what we had in Mrs. Danette’s class. Not a single class I have found even comes close to the quality of Mrs. Danette’s class. She is an amazing teacher and her class is truly one of a kind. ~M.T.
