Danette Warren Schuh is the Director of Dolce Music Studio and a Suzuki Early Childhood Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree with honors from Indiana University, as well as Registered Training in Suzuki Early Childhood Education and Violin. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she also directs Dolce Strings, the sweetest music in Sugar Land. Recently, she was one of a select group of teachers that taught SECE classes at the 16th Suzuki World Convention in Japan. She also had the privilege of speaking at the World Convention, presenting the ECE curriculum in depth. Formerly the President of the Houston Area Suzuki Strings Association, she has been instrumental in bringing Suzuki Baby Classes to the Houston area. She was the recipient of the Houston Music Teachers Association (HMTA) President’s “Bravo” award and was named HMTA 2001 “Teacher of the Year”. Mrs. Schuh also performs with the Möbius Chamber Ensemble. She and her husband, Todd, reside in Sugar Land, Texas with their two cats, Allegro and Treble.
Dana LaMothe is a trained Suzuki Early Childhood teacher. She teaches Suzuki Early Childhood classes and runs our Musical Activity Babysitting classes. She is a graduate of Iowa State University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She worked as a substitute teacher in Iowa for 12 years and taught preschool for two years at Wolf Creek Childcare and Preschool in Conrad, Iowa. She also enjoys teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and volunteering at her children’s schools. Dana is the mother of three accomplished Suzuki violin students.
Jessica Capshaw is a Suzuki Early Childhood Education Teacher. She was a 3-year Texas All-State violist. She went on to study viola performance at The University of North Texas under the direction of Dr. Susan Dubois. Jessica taught middle school orchestra for 5 years before taking off time to have her children. Jessica has taught private violin and viola lessons for almost 15 years. She also performs with the Abilene Philharmonic and enjoys playing in weddings. Jessica has 2-year old twin boys and a 1-year old girl who all enjoy baby music classes. Her husband is also a violist & currently teaches high school orchestra in Katy. Her life is full of music!
